Things to do - Lucan Spa Hotel Dublin

Golf

The Lucan Spa Hotel holds a long tradition of welcoming golf groups from home and abroad. This is hardly a surprise as within touching distance of the Hotel are a number of excellent golf courses, including the K Club which hosted the 2006 Ryder Cup. Just beside the hotel is Lucan Golf Club while the Hermitage and Luttrellstown courses sit just up the road. A little further west is Carton House which has hosted the Irish Open in recent years. Kilmainham Gaol (Jail)

Europe's largest disused and Ireland's most famous prison. Many of Ireland's most important historical figures spent time here with the Leaders of the 1916 Rebellion executed here. Kilmainham Gaol is worth a visit! Just accross from the Gaol you can also visit The Irish National War Memorial Park and The Royal Hospital which is home to the museum of modern art.

Guinness Storehouse

In the heart of the Guinness factory complex this excellent visitor centre tells the dramatic story of the 250 year history of Guinness. A complimentary drink in the highest bar in Ireland, the Gravity bar is part of your visit.

The University of Dublin, Trinity College

Founded in 1592, Trinity College Dublin is the oldest university in Ireland. Trinity College is the sole constituent college of the University. At present there are over 12,000 students and 1,200 staff members working on the College campus. Standing on a self-contained site in the heart of Dublin, the College covers some 40 acres of cobbled squares and green spaces, around buildings which represent the accumulated architectural riches of nearly three centuries. Fort Lucan

Travelling with the little ones? Well then visiting Fort Lucan is a must. Fort Lucan is a fully supervised adventure playground, providing a great fun day out for all the family.
