Wedding Tips #3: Creating your Wedding Hashtag
24 May 2016
1. Make it catchy
Make your hashtag stand out from the crowd and easily remembered by choosing something witty and clever. Use of puns always go down well (e.g. #LoveIsByrneing), or finally put your English poetry lessons from school to use with some alliteration (e.g. #WallaceWedding, #McCarthyMarriage).
2. Make it unique
Make sure your hashtag is unique and hasn’t been used before. Accidently hijacking a previous wedding hashtag may bundle some of their photos in with your photos.
3. Spread the Word
There’s no point keeping your hashtag under wraps! Get it out to your guests!! Putting your hashtag on your invites plants the seed, while reminders on the day can be used in a variety of ways. Here at the Lucan Spa Hotel, we include options to our brides and grooms for cute little framed signs dotted around the banqueting suite, while also placing wedding hashtags on menus and table plans for maximum exposure.
