Wedding Tip #11: Charity Wedding Favours

28 December 2016

Over the last year here in the hotel, we have noticed a greater number of weddings choosing against wedding favours for their wedding reception. While scented candles or nicely decorated bags of sweets can seem like an ideal wedding favour to remember your day, in reality, the majority of wedding favours like these either get left behind (trust us, the amount of favours we bin per year isn’t worth thinking about!) or taken home and put straight into a drawer never to see the light again. With this in mind, it is no wonder why couples have decided against favours and put the saved time and effort into other issues.
However, there is one type of favour that can no doubt offer something special and meaningful to both your guests and others; charity wedding favours. Nowadays, there are lots of worthy charities offering the option of making a donation via charity favours and many will even provide acknowledgement cards to place at each guest setting. Below is a small list of charities offering the option of donations via wedding favours (It is worth mentioning that you can provide donations to any worthwhile charity too).

Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services
