Giving Back Through Re-Turn

At Lucan Spa Hotel, we’re always looking for ways to support our local community while caring for the environment. Recently, our team launched a new initiative to collect all empty plastic bottles and aluminium cans purchased at the hotel. Through Ireland’s Re-Turn Deposit Return Scheme, we can reclaim the deposits paid on these containers and donate the funds to local charities and causes close to our hearts.

Our First Donation 💙
Over the past two months, thanks to the support of our staff and guests, we raised €196 through this scheme. We were delighted to donate this amount to Finding Charlie’s Voice – an Irish Registered Charity (CHY22899) based here in Lucan. The charity provides vital support for children and young adults with speech and language communication needs across Ireland. You can learn more about their amazing work at findingcharliesvoice.ie.

What’s Next
Our next chosen charity is Lucan Lions Club, a fantastic local organisation that makes a real difference in the community.

How You Can Help
Guests of the hotel can play a part in this initiative too. Simply:

• Leave your empty cans and plastic bottles intact in your room or on your dining table, or
• Hand them directly to a member of staff.

Every little bit collected goes towards supporting worthy local causes while helping reduce waste.
